GRUELING MONTH OF NOVEMBER MARKS 2016 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
by Rob Moseley
As was the case this fall, the 2016 Oregon football schedule will feature another grueling stretch in November.
The Ducks will face fellow Pac-12 North power Stanford in the final month of the regular season once again next fall, as well as Southern California. Next season’s November slate also includes Utah and Oregon State, the Pac-12 announced Tuesday.
Oregon will be in the second year of the current two-season cycle of matchups, in which the Ducks do not face Arizona or UCLA. The conference slate is a mirror of the 2015 schedule, swapping home opponents and road foes.
As previously announced, the Ducks’ nonconference schedule begins with home games against UC Davis on Sept. 3 and Virginia on Sept. 10, and wraps up a week later at Nebraska.
The 2016 Pac-12 slate begins for Oregon in Autzen Stadium on Sept. 24 against Colorado. In October, the Ducks open at Washington State on Oct. 1, host Washington a week later and then have a bye before playing at California on Friday, Oct. 21. The month ends with a home game against Arizona State on Oct. 29.
On Nov. 5, Oregon heads to USC, then plays its regular-season home finale against Stanford on Nov. 12. The final two regular-season games of 2016 will be on the road, at Utah on Nov. 19 and Oregon State on Nov. 26.
The Pac-12 title game will be played on Friday, Dec. 2., at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
